KAP Member for Kennedy, Bob Katter is saddened by news of prolific The Australian cartoonist Bill Leak’s death. Leak tragically passed away at the age of 61. For decades Mr Katter has featured in Leak’s cartoons. Below are some examples.

Mr Katter would like to share the following, brief sentiments:

“I took umbrage at Bill Leak constantly portraying me as the Barbarian Viking leader invading the civilisation of Parliament House, when of course everyone knew that just the opposite was true.

“I hope his family publish his best cartoons and I for one will be buying it with nothing but good memories of the most brilliant, humorous and cutting cartoonists Australia has ever seen.
“One thing you can be sure of is we Australians never lost our sense of humour. Look at the people we’ve put in Parliament House!
“We saw it the same way as Leaky.
“God bless him.”
