KAP Member for Kennedy, Bob Katter remains focused on developing Nth Qld during this significant moment in Australian politics:

Mr Katter said, “North Qld is economically one of the worst hit areas in Australia. With tens of thousands laid off in the mining industry. Nearly a dozen metal mines closed and the cattle industry was in nothing less than a depression for half a decade or more with suffering and depression-like prices for over half a decade.

“Nth Qld provides the greatest ‘go-forward’ possibilities in the nation. The people of Nth Qld have given us considerable access to power and KAP is the only entity that knows the combination to unlock this treasure trove.

“Senator Nick Xenophon and I have never ascribed to the soulless, Godless disastrous policies of a free market economy which has destroyed the manufacturing base in this country and the agricultural base in Nth Qld.

“I am determined to follow the historic achievements of my KAP state counterparts in Qld. The Australian people have rejected the major parties and I am listening to those voices.”
