Bob Katter, KAP Federal Member for Kennedy has today issued a list of achievements for the Kennedy electorate. The comprehensive digest includes:

‘David and Goliath’ battles fought by Mr Katter (what is considered by most as unwinnable),

44th Parliament speaking and question statistics,

44th Parliament Legislation submitted by Mr Katter into the,

44th Parliament funding given to Kennedy.

On the David and Goliath battles,

“When people say there’s $500m coming in to the Live Cattle Export market, well I’m about one of 4 or 5 people instrumental in the re-opening of that market; and most of these other 4-5 people would say -- it wouldn’t have happening without me. And I feel comfortable in that knowledge, but I don’t run around skiting about that.

“But when someone stops me and says that I’ve done nothing, well I can’t do much more than that. The Live Cattle Export market was re-opened and that is worth $500M to the economy of Nth Qld. That is $500m a year to the people in the cattle industry in Nth Qld !

“And if they want proof of my efforts with the Indonesians re-opening the Live Cattle Export market, well it was written on the front page of The Australian Newspaper (3 July 2013) with a photograph of me with the Indonesian Ambassador in the Gulf, two days before Prime Minister’s meeting the Indonesian President,” said Mr Katter.
