Please find some comments from Mr Katter below in response to the removal of the trade portfolio from the Nationals, which Mr Katter said is long overdue.

“The Nationals are a bunch of sell out dropkicks that haven’t got the talent nor the respect for their homeland. The National Party removed more protection than the Liberals did.

“Their Agriculture Minister deregulated the dairy industry and the sugar industry. Probably over 10,000 dairy farmers and another 20,000 workers and contractors have all gone down the shooter as a result of dairy deregulation.

“The Nationals are nothing more than puppets for the Liberal party with nothing to offer.

“The Liberal Party kept looking at Wilson Tuckey and Senator Heffernan as representatives for rural people, and with Heffernan, their contention is dead right. However, they have still sold out rural Australia.”
