Katter’s Australian Party leader Bob Katter has joined forces with Victorian Senator John Madigan and South Australian Senator Nick Xenophon in a bid to save Australian’s farming and manufacturing industries.

Bob warned Australia would be a net importer of food in three years and the nation’s manufacturing industries were dying a death by a thousand cuts.

To throw these vital industries a lifeline, Bob, John and Nick have teamed up and created the Australian Manufacturing and Farming Program.

The program aims to narrow the divide between politicians and working Australians, giving Australian manufacturers and farmers the recognition and credit that they deserve. Politicians will be able to take “work experience” courses, giving them the opportunity to do things from making car parts to harvesting potatoes as they get to know workers and battling families.
