Dear Editor,

The carbon tax introduced last week will be abolished by us. We will force a Liberal government to do it.

I have no faith in them doing it if we don’t have the balance of power In Canberra.

But I think it’s reasonable to assume that we will have the balance of power, given polling and all other indications... so count on it.

But we will provide, literally, a spoonful of sugar – because we will also force them to go to ethanol.

For those ratbag, hand-wringing rich people who we call greenies in the Liberal party, they can hardly argue against a program that dramatically reduces road transport carbon emissions and electricity carbon emissions; because our sugar mills will be converted to full electricity production, and that money for electricity will be passed on to the growers by way of return to collective bargaining arbitration in the sugar industry.

These things will happen.
