Katter's binned bullets turn up in online auction
2011-04-06

SPENT bullet cartridges found in Bob Katter’s bin have turned up in an online auction.

Bidders have only a few days left to put a price on the casings, recently retrieved from the Independent Federal Member for Kennedy’s trash by ABC TV’s Hungry Beast program.

While Mr Katter denied speculation that the ammunition may have been spent spooking ‘tree-huggers’ in the Kennedy electorate, he pointed out that North Queensland faced all sorts of threats that could arguably be resolved with a bullet (for instance, feral pigs or man-eating crocodiles).

The online auction – at http://bit.ly/gkRnqx – concludes this Friday night (April 8), with proceeds to go towards Mount Isa’s Jangawala Drop In Centre.

Other items retrieved from the bins of Australian identities by the Hungry Beast team and being put up for auction include a set of boxing gloves belonging to Anthony Mundine; a calculator once owned by breakfast television presenter David ‘Kochie’ Koch; and a napkin discarded by musician Julia Stone.
